- World-Event:
The “Former” Technology brought great success to the Eden Initiative and raised their number of followers and investors. In the Background, Global Trust develops a plan to catch up with the Ecos and stop their rising profit and popularity. The Tycoons bethink themselves of their initial strength and expertise: The financial sector. Trading and expansion shall invert the obsolescence. To have an eye on the economy you generate access to the brand new statistic center by fulfilling the world event.

ANNO 2070 - Patch-Notes 1.04


The most important changes in overview:
  • Notepad function implemented
  • Rival Third Parties will got to war against one another
  • DLC-related awards will only be included in the overall count if the corresponding DLC has been activated
  • The "Dock" building is now much cheaper to both build and operate
  • The sawmill produces more slowly
  • Goods depots' Surface-to-air missiles do more damage
  • Tornadoes occur more rarely
  • Skylar Bane's World Council actions have been rearranged and significantly increased
  • Seamus Green's World Council actions have been rearranged, with some weakened and some strengthened
  • Underwater Oil fields have been significantly increased at all levels of difficulty
  • A bug was fixed which led to own games being flagged as „Other game” and therefore certain achievements not being unlocked.


Further changes and bug fixes:
  • NPC Ark Trading ships destroyed by tornadoes now respawn after some time, ensuring that the player still has a partner for passive trade
  • Fixed an exploit occurring during trading with third parties per Drag&Drop
  • The lumberjack now being correctly processes the "Summer Tree" decorative element
  • A bug which led to interface elements being shown in the main menu whenever the game was paused has been fixed
  • Ships on trading routes no longer automatically take on quest-related items such as the boarding crew
  • Sound effect for placing a Summer Tree was corrected
  • In the description of the ornamental building "Reflection", the statue is now properly referred to as an "ornamental building"
  • Collision detection has been optimized for ornamental buildings
  • The Keeper and Guardian buildings are now correctly referred to as "Ecobalance buildings" in the building interface
  • Quests in the "Friendly turn" category designed to support the player when at war with any other third party now count as failed as soon as the player makes peace with that third party (Applies to "Fleet expansion," "Reinforcements", "Cannon fodder" and "Asymmetrical warfare")
  • After a multi-player game had been lost, the button "Start new scenario" was mistakenly displayed, which led to subsequent errors. This has been fixed
  • An error in the loading screen which occurred when players joined a multiplayer game directly from another multi-player game has been resolved
  • A rare error was fixed where the mouse pointer was not displayed while loading certain scenarios and world events
  • Ark contents were sometimes lost when switching between online and offline mode, and when loading a saved game from the other mode. This bug has been corrected.
  • Contents unlocked using Tech Career points no longer bear the Eco Symbol in the "Bonus Content" menu
  • An error in the visualization of sequenced movement and attack commands has been fixed
  • A bug was fixed which could lead to the game looking as if it were accelerated when a player had enabled time acceleration while simultaneously inviting a co-op partner to their game
  • The volume of the Related Designs Jingles at the start of the game has been reduced
  • It is no longer possible to move the camera during the introductory sequence of the Bonus Mission "Return to C.O.R.E."
  • Animation of the damage to the pirate base when bombarded by a long-range missile has been improved
  • Diplomacy menu improved in co-op games
  • A rare error has been fixed which led to the population not consuming any more tea after a savegame loaded

Mission:

Info:

The mission starts with Vadim, Thor and Hector present on the map. Keto arrives at 2h30m into the game.
The player starts at peace with Vadim and Thor, and at war with Hector and Keto.
It is possible to keep bribing Hector into perpetual peace. It is not possible to do the same with Keto.
Vadim and Thor will occasionally present ultimatums. Failure to comply leads to war, and to attacks on the player's island(s).
Upon completion you recieve 300 career points to which ever faction that you choose.

Tips:

This mission will take a long time to complete. Prepare for a long haul.
It is impossible to confront Keto's fleet head-on and win. She has 40+ Sharks, enough to wipe out any number of units and/or turrets that the player can build. Any Sharks that the player manages to pick off, are simply respawned.
Key to this scenario is to turtle up on your starting island. It has everything you need to amass an army and eliminate the other players.

Building your settlement

Settle the nearest island. Start building your settlement. (except top left as it is right next to Hector) The best is bottom left.
Don't expand to other islands — you won't be able to maintain the trade routes anyway.As soon as you do Hector will attack and sink your Command ship. So leave second island til techs then you need sugar.
Hector and other NPCs will leave you alone as long as they are not discovered. But if their relation to you are higher than 60, you can invest their business, some times the reward of investment can be very high, so it's up to you.

Building an army

Before her apperance, you need to build up your settlement to the third level and get the permission to buy,or build one or two or more T38 Trimaran, their EMPs are the key to defeat Keto. Another thing you need are Defense Towers, as many as possible. Also, if you can build a fleet or air force, do it after you can build up to 15+ towers and T38.

Replenishing resources

Resources on your island (oil, coal, iron) will more than likely run out before you've eliminated the other parties. Provided that you have a solid income, you can buy replenishments from the neutral parties.
Find out which of the neutral parties (Thorne, Yana, Devi, ETO) sells the resource refill that you need. If none do, then re-roll the item selection until one is offered.
Make sure you have enough Licenses. If you don't, then either complete a quest or simply buy the licenses through the diplomacy screen.
Buy a trimaran and collect the resource refill item. The enemy should ignore your trimaran. If they don't — hey, you can always buy a new one.
This requires a solid income.

Hector

Hector is the easiest target. If you can buy the peace from him, he will ignore anything you do to him, including fly 2 fire birds to his head, drop those bombs to his base, and, nothing left.

Vadim

Same as before, stay peace with him, give coal to him, and, finally, drop bombs to him.But he is the only one that can not use money to buy peace. So keep in mind and do it with caution

Thor

Same as Vadim, but even easier than Vadim, because you can buy the peace for 6 hours with money, and he will also ignore anything you do at that time.

Keto

Keto is the toughest enemy by far. But she is not unbeatable either.
Before her apperance, you need to build up your settlement to the third level and get the permission to buy, or build one or two or more T38 Trimaran, their EMPs are the key to defeat Keto. Her flagship and her sharks are not immune with EMP, no matter 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2. Another thing you need is defense tower, as many as possible. Their heat points can make them become a wall before your little and fragile war ships. Keep in mind that those towers need to be bulit all in one place, so that they can focus to one target at one time.</span>
Watch out for the red points on the minimap as they stand for Keto's fleet. When they are on their way to your base, dive your T38s into the water, let them wait in front of your towers and stay alert for a clear chance. When Keto's ships are all in their fire range to attack your tower, they will be very close to each other, that's the best time to use EMP to disable them, let your towers and ships/aircrafts fire at will.
After the first wave of her attack, what's left can be much easier. Two nuclear missiles, 8 fire birds covered by 8 energy shields, all can destory her flagship in an blink of eye.It's just a matter of time.
CautionDO NOT let your T38 submarine use EMPs together, use them one by one, Keto's fleed can be disabled much longer for that. EMP can also disable your own towers and ships, so be ware. Finally, If you don't have so much confidence, save before the combat starts, and load if you fail.

Extra Stuff

  1. When exploring the map, save your game as you move around. If you find Hector, immediately reload your game and try avoiding this area if you don't want to encounter him.
  2. You can build all aircrafts, the Hydroelectric power plant and produce all resource refill items by only maintaining Lab Assistants. To do this do the following: First, deny the Lab Assistants' access to Functional Food & Drinks and buy about 20 tons each at your warehouse (preferably before Keto arrives). After you've done that, allow the Lab Assistants access to Functional Food & Drink for a brief moment until you get to about 150 Researchers required to unlock the Academy. Immediately after you have built the Academy, destroy the Researchers' houses (you may replace them with Lab Assistance houses). You now have access to nearly all items in the Laboratory and are able to research most of the 1* formulas at the Academy without actually having to maintain the required Researchers. With this, you will also be able to build all three types of aircrafts.
  3. To actually research the Hydroelectric power plant you need the "Alwinic Anion Catalyst" but there's no Trenchcoat to buy it from. You can get this by creating items in the Laboratory and getting it as a prototype. Additionally, with enough luck, you might find it by utilizing Hiro Ebashi's action "Technology Scanner".

Endgame

With all four enemies eliminated, the pressure is off. Expand to the other islands and complete the remaining objectives.
